an English ↑public school for boys near ↑Windsor in Berkshire, started in 1440 by King ↑Henry VI. Its students are mainly from rich families, and many of Britain’s public figures were educated there. Its former students are known as Old Etonians. There is a strong sense of competition between Eton and Harrow, another boys’ public school
